This Agency was born in honor of my grandmother, Doris. In 2006, she started a home care agency from our living room — driven purely by her heart for others. Although I was too young to be formally employed, watching her work taught me so much about compassion, generosity, and treating every person with dignity, no matter their circumstances. We’d spend some weekends delivering groceries to the elderly, cleaning their homes, and making sure they were comfortable. We welcomed clients like “Mrs. Grace” into our home, spending the day together to offer companionship and care. We also supported those who were mentally challenged by giving them meaningful work and a sense of purpose. She showed me the beauty of caring — not just professionally, but deeply and personally. She taught me that all people deserve to be treated with kindness and respect and that everyone deserves to feel loved and cared for.

When I became old enough to contribute to the agency, I began working in the office and supporting day-to-day operations. The experience offered valuable insight into what it takes to provide meaningful care and run a successful home care business.

Although plans were in place to grow and carry that vision forward, she passed away before we were able to see it come to fruition.

On the day of her funeral, my oldest brother also passed away. That heartbreaking moment clarified my purpose. I named the business Oasis Legacy in honor of them both — the love they gave, the lives they touched, and the legacy they left behind.

Today, Oasis Legacy is my way of continuing their work: serving the elderly, the disabled, and anyone in need with love, respect, and excellence. It’s how I give back to my community, how I honor my roots, and how I live out the values instilled in me from a young age. This isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am. And I’m proud to carry the legacy forward.
